The “Messe” subway station on the U4 Line is located approximately 50 meters away from the Astoria. In just a few minutes you can be at the main train station, the old opera house, the city centre or even the Frankfurt airport.
The U4 Line covers the entire city of Frankfurt underground, with ten stations. The subway is one of the most popular methods of transportation in Frankfurt. About 270,000 customers use the system daily. Seven main tracks enter the city from the periphery and merge to three main lines in the city centre. There are 27 subway stations and nearly 60 aboveground stations and stops. The entire subway system runs about 60 kilometres. In 2006 the public transportation system in Frankfurt handled 98 million passengers.
The street car 16 and 17, which will also bring you to all the Frankfurt locations, are only a few steps away from the Astoria.
